Although COVID-19 has negatively impacted many small businesses, individuals have begun to step up to promote change. Another organization that emerged during this pandemic is Astudia.
Astudia is a teen-run organization that provides helpful resources and opportunities for teens with a mission to educate and empower them to make a difference in the world. By providing multiple volunteering opportunities and initiatives, they hope to make the world a better place and encourage other teens to do so. The all-encompassing platform was founded, during the quarantine, by high school sophomore Daliya Rizvi from Virginia, who is passionate about education. During this time, she noticed that her peers were struggling to keep up with online school and felt behind because the school year was abruptly cut off. “A lot of people didn’t feel ready, and I wanted to change that, so, I created Astudia to kind of be a one-stop-shop to provide resources for teens and helpful information that they can rely on a daily basis. “
Astudia targets students ages 13-19, basically any high school student or teenager. What differentiates Astudia from other organizations on Instagram is they act as a one stop shop to fulfill their goal of giving teenagers something to do!
Currently, they have a multitude of services, including a career focus group, tutoring, Chat 2 Serve, and a new climate change initiative. Their career focus groups help their audience learn more about various careers. Each month, Astudia chooses a professional from a certain career, conducts an interview with them, and posts their findings/ key points on Instagram. In addition, they also offer a unique pen pal program that gives the opportunity to connect with new people across the world! As for their tutoring program, they tend to offer more of a study session about the subject and match the tutees and tutors according to their schedule preferences. Their volunteer opportunity, Chat 2 Serve allows teens to serve the community through video chats. They are currently working on broadening their connections to nursing homes and hospitals, but currently are helping teach students in Ukraine English! Lastly, their climate change initiative is still in the works but was created because of the ongoing major issue of climate change in society. Students can sign up to be ambassadors for this community benefiting program on their website!
In addition to these services and initiatives, they also post weekly news, have information pertaining to building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, college guides, and weekly news! Astudia surely provides a range of services that help educate and empower teens in the world.
If you’re interested in getting involved, you can sign up for events or services through their website here, or on their linktree. If interested in being part of the team, email them for more info! Here are the positions they currently have open:

3. More Blog Staff (we want to expand our blog)
4. Content Creators- Improving your health section.
5. Content creators- College Guides Section
It’s truly inspiring to see leaders like Daliya Rizvi use their voices to help others! When asked about the biggest reward they’ve gotten in creating Astudia, Daliya said, “it was really amazing to get such positive words through social media, especially from other youth organizations! It was great to see how supportive and welcoming they are to other organizations, and I really appreciated that.” Similarly, when asked for advice she’d give to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners, Daliya stated, “Don’t be discouraged if things don’t go your way in the beginning. It is hard and will be hard, but don’t be discouraged. Believe in yourself and you can get it done.”
The Bizz USA recommends that you check out Astudia and participate in the countless opportunities they have available! Her passion to lead in the community is something the world needs a bit more of, and it’s impressive to see young leaders, like Daliya Rizvi make a difference!
